In the tradition of Rick Rubin and Don Was, Dre Skull is a producer who works beyond category while bringing his own sound to the table. Few producers travel so effortlessly between hip-hop, dancehall, and electronic dance music as the Brooklyn-based producer now making a name from Jamaica to Japan. Having come up through the East Coast’s freakout punk and performance art scenes (alongside the likes of Lightning Bolt and Paper Rad), Dre Skull has developed a distinctive sound that combines high conceptualism with pop accessibility, a mix that has made artists and tastemakers take notice.
Impervious to the crutches of genres, NY DJ & producer Dubbel Dutch works from a diverse palette, drawing from dancehall, east coast club music, grime and other regional dance styles. Always hovering at the edge of the new & inspiring, his "Cloud Club" EP, "Self Help Riddims" and his famed Slow Club Mix
have solidified his reputation as an exciting and versatile producer.
